About Kappa Sigma Psi

Our Story

Kappa Sigma Psi was officially established on Saturday, January 30th, 2016 in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada by Taylur Jeffers and her amazing two co-founders Juness Talon and Paige McIntosh.

Kappa Sigma Psi was founded on the values of devotion, perseverance, and independence. We demonstrate these values in our daily lives. We aim to uphold these values in our everyday activities. Our three core values are the ideals that we ask our members to live by.

Through a variety of philanthropic and social activities, Kappa Sigma Psi inspires its members to adopt important values such as leadership, empathy and ambition, and to always strive for excellence.

Since January 2016, our members have upheld these values through academic success, philanthropy, character development and solid relationship-building skills. Our members are actively involved in many events throughout the year, allowing them to create lifelong friendships and consistently give back to their community.

This organization is all about true meaning of sisterhood. No matter the obstacles in life we journey together.

Together we can do anything. Together we are stronger. Together we can achieve greatness. This sisterhood is for a lifetime, not just for your college/university years.

Our Vision

Kappa Sigma Psi Fraternity's vision has two main parts. First, to be recognized as an outstanding organization for women; by providing them with a lifetime membership that will enrich their daily lives and support their contributions to society. Second, to inspire women to achieve their goals and realize the depth of their potential.

Our Purpose

With the establishment of Kappa Sigma Psi, it was apparent that our purpose would define the reputation of our organization. Our 3 founding mothers saw it necessary to create an organization that was accepting of women not for their physical appearance but for their moral character. We promote the creation of lifelong friendships, pursuing scholarly ambitions and living a value based lifestyle. We believe that a strong moral foundation is key to building a firm skill set so you can lead by example. Whether you lead others within your chapter, community, family or workplace, developing your skill set and supporting your personal growth is the purpose of Kappa Sigma Psi.

Our Mission

Kappa Sigma Psi's mission is to provide a safe space for personal growth, skill development and the creation of lifelong friendships through the support of sisterhood. We encourage our members to reach their full potential and strive for greatness in all their aspirations.

Our Core Values

Our core values are part of the strong foundation of our sisterhood. These values are used as a guide to living a positive and respectable lifestyle. Each of our founding mothers picked a core value that held a significance to them.
